In addition to Alberich, Christian Henneberg was also heard as Falke in "Die Fledermaus" at the Saarländisches Staatstheater in the 2022/2023 season. In the same season he made his role debut as Kaspar in Weber's "Der Freischütz" at the Staatstheater Schwerin.
At the Musikalische Komödie Leipzig, Christian Henneberg took on roles such as Director Thianyi in "The Duchess of Chicago" and Mr. Parchester in "Me and my Girl" at short notice during the same season, and the title role in Don Giovanni at the Theater Nordhausen.
In the 2020-2023 seasons, Henneberg made several guest appearances with various roles at Theater Görlitz. These included the title role in "Don Giovanni", Dr Falke in "Die Fledermaus", and as the Speaker in "Die Zauberflöte." The latter role he also sang at the same time at the Staatsoperette Dresden.
In the 21/22 season he made a guest appearance with the title role in "Le nozze di Figaro" at the Volkstheater Rostock and also gave his role debut as Alberich at the Rostock Academy of Music and Theatre.
From 2015-2020 Christian Henneberg was a permanent ensemble member at the Staatstheater Cottbus where he performed many roles in his Fach. These included Peter Besenbinder in "Hänsel und Gretel", Prof. Henry Higgins - "My Fair Lady", Belcore in "L'elisir d'amore", Ping in "Turandot", Sparbüchsenbill in "Aufstieg und Fall der Stadt Mahagonny", Papageno in "Die Zauberflöte", as well as the title role in "Don Giovanni".
In the 14/15 season Henneberg was a member of the young ensemble of the Musiktheater im Revier Gelsenkirchen.
In addition, the Theater Lübeck engaged him as the main protagonist in the opera "Venus in Africa" by Georg Antheil.
In 2012-2013, the Dortmund Opera House engaged him for several productions, including roles in the operas "Don Carlo" and "Anna Nicole" as well as a children's version of "Il barbiere di Siviglia".
Henneberg had his first guest engagement in the 10/11 season at Theater Hagen as Papageno in "Die Zauberflöte" and as a deputy in Verdi’s "Don Carlo".
From 2010-2015 Christian Henneberg studied at the Folkwang University of the Arts Essen with Jan- Hendrick Rootering in the Masters of Vocal Performance program.
Previously, he was enrolled at the Rostock University of Music and Theatre from 2007- 2010 and was a vocal student of Prof. Klaus Häger.
From 2002-2006 Henneberg was a member of the Junges Sinfonieorchester Dresden as an oboist.
He attended the Landesgymnasium für Musik "Carl Maria von Weber" and graduated with the Abitur.
His busy concert schedule has already taken him to many major concert halls, including the Philharmonie Essen, Philharmonie Berlin, Tonhalle Düsseldorf, Konzerthaus Berlin, Liederhalle Stuttgart and Konzerthaus Freiburg. His most significant concert works include Britten's "War Requiem", Bach's "St. Matthew Passion", Handel's "Messiah", Beethoven's "Symphony No 9", Orff's "Carmina Burana".
